I began cooking as a way to cope with the challenges of being a single mother of four while navigating domestic violence, depression, and difficult seasons that tested my strength.

Through those experiences, I discovered my gift for expressing myself through food. Cooking became my therapy, my creative outlet, and ultimately my purpose. What started as a way to heal grew into my culinary brand, VisionariE’s by Ericka, where I’ve spent years creating memorable experiences through food and hospitality.

Along my journey, I learned one of life’s most important lessons: you must love yourself first and truly understand who you are. From self-esteem to body image, I realized that food has the power to restore and uplift. Food nourishes more than the body — it nurtures the spirit and can bring you back to life.

As I continue to reflect on the ingredients needed for a fulfilling life, I’ve come to understand that food has the power to change mood, shift energy, and bring people together in meaningful ways.

My pain ultimately pushed me into my purpose. That journey led me to become a self-published author, earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, and later obtain my MBA with honors in an accelerated program, all while building my catering and event business where people can gather, celebrate, and create unforgettable moments.

Today, VisionariE’s is more than a catering company. It is a brand, a lifestyle, and a blueprint where creativity, vision, and innovation come together to inspire others to turn their pain into purpose.
